🛡️ Safety and Certifications
Absolutely. Your health and safety are our highest priorities. We operate under the strictest biosafety regulations mandated by the Alameda County Department of Environmental Health. All materials and needles used are 100% sterile, disposable, and single-use. Our workstations are deeply sanitized before and after every session using medical and hospital-grade disinfectants (such as CaviCide).
🎨 About the Procedure and Results
We exclusively use medical and paramedical-grade pigments formulated to be biocompatible, hypoallergenic, and free of heavy metals. These pigments are specifically designed to blend naturally with different skin tones and will not change into undesirable shades (like blue or purple) over time.
Unlike traditional artistic tattooing, paramedical dermopigmentation focuses on the restoration and reconstructive camouflage of the skin (such as scars, stretch marks, or areola reconstruction). We utilize specialized high-precision machinery, much finer needles, and pixelation techniques that deposit the pigment into a shallower layer of the dermis. This achieves an incredibly soft, natural, and blended finish that mimics the real texture and color of healthy skin.
Pain tolerance varies from person to person, but the vast majority of our clients report that the discomfort is minimal and completely manageable (similar to a light, continuous scratch). Additionally, we apply topical soothing gels during the session to numb the area, ensuring your experience is as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
As a semi-permanent or permanent reconstructive procedure, results typically last between 2 and 5 years, depending on skin type, the treated area, lifestyle, and sun exposure. We recommend a touch-up or maintenance session later on to preserve the freshness and exact accuracy of the color over time.
📅 Booking Process and Preparation
Every skin type and every scar is completely unique. The initial consultation (which costs $100, fully credited toward the total cost of your treatment) allows us to evaluate the elasticity, tone, and health of your tissue. We design a personalized plan, perform color-matching tests if necessary, and ensure you are an ideal candidate for the procedure before moving forward.
To ensure optimal pigment retention and minimize sensitivity:
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, aspirin, or Vitamin E supplements 24 hours before your appointment.
Do not expose the area to direct sunlight or tanning beds for two weeks prior.
Keep the skin deeply hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment by drinking plenty of water and applying a fragrance-free moisturizer.
💧 Post-Care (Aftercare)
Immediately after the session, the area may show slight redness or minor swelling, which typically subsides within 24 to 48 hours. During the first 7 to 10 days, it is crucial to:
Keep the area clean and apply only the aftercare ointment provided to you at the studio.
Do not scratch, rub, or pick at any light flaking that may form.
Avoid swimming pools, saunas, beaches, excessive sweating (workouts), and direct sun exposure for the first two weeks.
